  • Description Description

Vitamin B Complex HP. For use as a supplemental source of B complex vitamins in cattle, swine and sheep. Inject intra-muscularly. May be administered subcutaneously or intravenously if recommended by a veterinarian.

    Key Benefits

    • Performance horses can benefit from B-complex vitamin supplementation
    • Increases production of blood
    • Improves function of the liver and digestive system
    • B-complex vitamins are useful in the production of energy
    • Great for use in animals who are convalescing following a serious surgery, suffering from a debilitating illness, have a liver condition, or are not eating appropriately
    • Useful in treating and preventing conditions caused by B-vitamin deficiency

    How It Works

Because B-complex vitamins are water-soluble, and the body does not store reserves, daily B-complex supplementation is needed. Pasture of good quality contains these vitamins in high levels. However, cereal grains in hard, concentrated feeds have an imbalanced or low natural vitamin content. This B-complex, particularly B-12 and B-1 (thiamin), is responsible for metabolizing the nutrients in the horse, including carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. B-5 (pantothenic acid) and B-2 (riboflavin) also help metabolize nutrients. B-2 is needed for healthy digestive tract mucous membranes. B-5 supports many of the hormones and glands that help in nutrient metabolism.

    Indications

For use as a supplemental source of B complex vitamins in cattle, swine and sheep.
