  • Description Description

For-bid stops coprophagia (pets eating stool). Vegetable protein and sodium glutamate work in the digestive system to give stools a bad taste.

For-bid has been used by thousands of veterinarians in both cats and dogs without adverse reactions and with excellent efficacy.

    Directions

Simply sprinkle For-bid on your dog's food. This will impart a forbidden and unpalatable taste to the feces. For-bid is not an enzyme mixture which alters the normal endogenous digestive process.

    Dosage

    Dogs 3-20 lbs

1/4 packet (1/2 teaspoon) twice per day for 5 days

    Dogs 20-100 lbs

1/2 packet (1 teaspoon) twice per day for 5-6 days

    Cats

1/4 packet (1/2 teaspoon) twice per day for 5 days

    Quick Tips

  • If coprophogia starts again after initial feeding, give 1 gram (just a pinch) per day for 2-3 weeks, or as necessary until unwanted behavior stops.
  • When a dog is eating another dog's stool or from a cat's litter box. we recommend feeding For-bid to both animals as directed above.

Adopted dog is 10 years old. Who knows how long she has been eating her poop. Maybe this is not a fair opinion, since I don't know how long this is going on. We are now in the stage of a pinch on her food for two-three weeks. Not giving-up yet. not giving up!

This is the only additive that my dog will actually eat. It does exactly what its supposed to & the price @ healthy pets is great!

Tried Forbid for over a week. Was supposed to help after 5-6 days, used for 10 days and did not work at all.Made him more gassy and smelled worse. Won't buy it again.

I keep buying it, but it doesn't really work. Did for the first day or two, then by dog considered it a condiment!

    • For-bid results...

This will be my third order of this to see if it will work or not ! So far , the results, at least with my dogs, has " Not" been good !! I have Saint Bernards from 7 month's old to 5 years old and, only my 3 1/2 year old is not still eating the stool. But, never had a problem with her anyways. But, the other (4) who were eating stool ? It hasn't seemed to phase them at all ( the for-bid) . They continue to eat the stool. So, this is my last attempt. I don't know how long this is suppose to take but, I wouldn't assume 3-4 weeks before you start seeing results ! and, this isn't exactly cheap, especially with (4) huge dogs.To say the least , I am pretty frustrated at this point but, going to give it one last shot. Have read up on other solutions but, nothing is really looking any better to try.

    • Really works!

I have a nine month old Yorkie puppy and during his last vet visit she asked if his appetite had improved. I told her no he still eats very little except when it comes to my other two dogs poop and it was driving me crazy to keep them apart in the yard. She laughed and said some dogs do this and she had good news. It's called Forbid. She said it would stop this matter right away. Problem was, dosing for my 3 dogs would be between $80 - $120. So I checked online and ordered from Healthy Pets and I ordered the same amount at a much lower price. It really works! Directions are on each little packet and just mix with food. My dogs didn't seem to mind any difference. Loved it

While I'm still not sure of the results, it seems like a good solution. It doesn't prevent dogs from eating the feces of other dogs though. Perhaps if I pass them out to all my neighbors?
