My dogs have enjoyed these treats and have looked forward to them on "treat night." However, there are some negatives: (1) They're very expensive, whether you buy them at the pet store or online (most pet stores don't carry them; you have to buy them at an independent pet-merchandise-related store). (2) They can easily slip down a dog's throat, so my vet advised me to stay in the room when the dogs eat them so they won't choke. Also, when the "chews" get wet and start to bend, they stick to the dog's back teeth. Ever tried to get part of a half-melted Big Hunk off your molars? (3) I've noticed that not all the treats in the bag are uniform in color. Some are very dark brown - and I've found burned areas on them that crumble and fall off - and I often find greenish areas that resemble mold. Perhaps if you included a little information on the back of the bag, describing how these things are made and explaining the color difference....(4) Finally, the corners are very sharp. More than once, I've taken one away from my dog and found blood on it, so it must be puncturing his gums or something else in his mouth. Can't you please round off the corners??Supposedly good for dental care and apparently tastes better than a tennis ball. Vet recommends it because he says that rawhide treats, Greenies and other similar items sold in pet stores are not digestible. I urge my friends to buy these for that reason. However, it would be nice to be reassured that these are NOT made in China!Expensive corners too sharp

Very effective!
My 4 yr. old Golden Retriever did not have healthy teeth. There was a build up of brown stain (plaque?) along the base of his teeth. The vet recommended these Premium Chews with Chlorhexidine for him. I give him one per day and after just a month I can see a definite reduction in plaque and his gums look healthier as well! I\'m sold!

These really work
I have been giving these to my dogs since they were puppies. They pass all their dental checks with flying colors. I have combined these with T/D dog food/treats which I mix in with their regular food and it works wonders. Plus they love them.

Great for bad breath also
My dog gets a CET HEXtra Chew after every evening meal. It keeps his teeth cleaner and he has doesn\'t have bad breath anymore. Our 6 1/2 lb. silky terrior is very fussy and wont chew on most dental toys or chews.
