How To Open
1. Be sure tube is at bottom of pouch.
2. Using scissors, cut the pouch across the top and remove tube.
How to Apply
1. Remove one applicator tube from the package. See "How to Open" section
2. Hold application tibe in an upright position facing away from you and your pet's face and eyes. Pull cap of tube.
3. Turn the cap around and place other end of cap back on tube.
4. Twist cap to break seal, then remove cap from tube.
5. Part the hair on the neck at the base of the skull until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the tube on the skin and squeeze the tube to expel the entire contents directly on the skin. Do not get this product in your cats eyes, or allow your cat to ingest this product. The product is bitter tasting and salivation may occur for a short time if the cat licks the product immediately after treatment. Treatment at the base of the skull will minimize the opportunity for the cat to lick the product. Do not allow the product to run off.
6. Discard empty tube as described in Storage and Disposal.
7. Under normal conditions this product is effective for a month. However, in cases of severe flea infestation, retreatment may be necessary earlier than four (4) weeks. Do not retreat more often than once every fourteen (14) days for kittens or once every seven (7) days for small and large cats. After flea control is attained, return to a monthly retreatment schedule.
Restrictions
- Use only on cats or kittens 8 weeks and older. Do not apply to cats or kittens weighing less than 9 lbs. Do not use on other animals.
- Do not apply more than one (1) tube per treatment, even for larger cats.
- Do not have contact or allow children to have contact with treated area until completely dry.
Storage and Disposal

Do not contaminate water, food, or feed by storage or disposal.

Pesticide Storage:

Store in a cool, dry place inaccessible to children and pets.

Pesticide Disposal and Container Handling:

Nonrefillable container.

If empty:

Do not reuse this container. place in trash or offer for recycling if available.

If partly filled:

Call your local solid waste agency or 18004229874 for disposal instructions. Never place unused product down and indoor or outdoor drain.

Cautions

Harmful if swallowed. Causes moderate eye irritation. Avoid contact with eyes or clothing. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and warm water handling. Keep out of reach of children. Do not contaminate feed or food.

Possible Side Effects

Monitor your cat after application. Side effects, although very rare, may include signs of skin irritation such as redness, scratching, or other signs of discomfort. Gastrointestinal signs such as hypersalivation, vomiting or diarrhea have also been reported. I purchased the Advantage II for my two indoor cats after using Frontline for many years because I thought it might be a better choice. A day after applying it on both my cats my female vomited a few times during the night and by the next day her eyes were swollen and red and her ears were bright crimson red. I immediately took her to the vet. He gave her a cortisone shot and cortisone medication to take for a week. He felt she might have ingested it somehow. The next morning she was notably better. I can not recommend this product after this experience nor will I be purchasing it again.
My cats hate the goop but I love it.

I trust Advantage II for my indoor-only cats. I have to sneak up on them to put it on their necks since cats are not cooperative creatures.

This costs more and its worth it. Did your pet get out, unexpectedly? Advantage kills fleas within an hour and keeps working for a month or more. No need to repeat monthly if pets have a fles-free indoor life. Use a carpet flea spray to destroy fleas and eggs in carpet and pet bedding. Follow label directions.

We have been using Advantage for our cats for many years. Fleas are not present on our pets even though they roam occasionally in the back yard. It is my understanding that counterfeit products are often sold online. Healthy Pets provides genuine Bayer products at a good price. Shipping is always prompt and fast.
